Unique and Exclusive, with a touch of Manhattan, NYC in San Francisco...the first thing I thought when entering Otis was how much this place reminded me of Bungalow 8 (my favorite lounge in NYC)...this place is small and intimate, multi leveled with a cool Safari like decor...the 2 times I have been, were both on a Tuesday night, great crowd and the vibe was trendy and hip...I look forward to going again on a Friday or Saturday night, Enjoy! |

4.5~ Went to Otis to see a photography showing of a friend of a friend and I felt like I was at a really chill cocktail party in someone's home. Yes it is small (hence the -.5) but it is fantastic for a relaxing night talking with good friends. Mike, the bartender, and actually all of the bartenders, were friendly and accommodating. The decor is super cool- the coral on the walls is unexpected, and Lucas' photographs really brought home the "I'm in someone's home" feeling. Also of note, they serve some food. You are not going to stumble onto this place, it is in Maiden Lane in Union Square and there is practically no sign. But if you want a cool evening, bring a few friends, have a few really well made drinks (Mike lit a Manhattan on fire, soo cool), and enjoy the cocktail party with strangers feeling. Definitely recommend. |

otis has a nice vibe to it i spent new Years Eve there and had a great time =) they had 3 different open bars going over a 24hr period and the bartenders werent shy about kepping the drinks going =) i like thier mash up style of playing hip hop thier track selections keep you guessing which is pretty good id DEFINITELY recommend Otis to other people |

Although both floors of Otis are roughly the size of my living room there is something about the vibe there that draws you in, even if only to elbow your way to the bar for a quick drink. The ecclectic but consitent decor and attention to detail are excellent. Also if you ever wanted to own a club for a night Otis' small space makes it easy by buying up all the tables on their second story. |
