By far the hottest club in San Francisco. Temple has accomplished to capture the vibe from Chicago, Las Vegas, and LA's hottest clubs.. At one point i actually felt like I was at Chicago's Warehouse in one room, then Las Vegas' TAO in the next room.. Unreal... Top notch staff.. Definitely the place to be... |

I love Temple! If you have not been there yet, you should definitely check it out. It's huge with mutiple rooms, great music, drinks and of course always a great crowd! Last time I went to Temple, the Dj's were off the hook and the place was packed! The overall vibe was awesome! Check it out! |

I first went to Temple for the soft opening - my first thought was that we finally had a Miami look in SF. It was not too crowded and the main room upstairs & the fluorescent blue/white room downstairs looked awesome. I was not too turned on the by the "temple" room with the Buddha statue - it was dark and looked like a dungeon.
I have been there several times since and have had mixed experiences. They have got some top DJs (Erick Morillo for one whose music I love) but it is WAY TOO LOUD in the main room. It always takes a LONG time to get a drink, which is to be expected (I guess) in a large club even with 5 bars. The ventilation absolutely blows (pun intended) downstairs and it turns into a sauna - I pity the security guys who have to suit up. Overall, I have had more fun at other venues. I want to like Temple but it falls short.
They also have an Indian fusion restaurant called Prana which I am yet to try. |

Classy, yet fun. I know how to get down (smiles) but like to keep it within reason. Good crowd - nice looking, professional, sexy people. Well-themed decor. Its a cool place to come if you and your friends can't agree on a type of music. The night that I was there: there was hip-hop downstairs and trance up on the main floor. I left the Temple to check out the Gold Club, only to find myself back at Temple at 2am. This place is a classy alternative to the End Up. |

I recently had my birthday dinner and party here and had a blast! I was amazingly surprised with how good the food was. I thought that it would be the typical restaurant turn nightclub OKAY food, but it was delicious. My guests really liked the menu and enjoyed the ambience. Great decor and spacious venue... I had a god night! =) |

I guess I dont know what the hype is about this place. Granted I have only been here once, I was not really that impressed. I think it must have been understaffed that night, because it took us a good 20 minutes to get drinks. I will say I had a great time on the upper level, but the downstairs was very dark and the people were scary, lol. It was impossible to walk by without getting grabbed by some rude guys. Anyway maybe I need to give it another shot, but this time I will definitely stay upstairs. :) |

I'm a little late but I just went to temple for my first time last sat. Had a great time upstairs, donovan's fashion show brings out the best. Downstairs on the other hand was horrible, it felt like a high school thug party in burlingame. where do you people come from? |

Maybe I haven't been to Temple enough times to appreciate the exotic decor and vegas style layout, or maybe I have. Donovan throws a kick-ass party with his eyes closed, I had a great time last time he took the venue over. Besides that the downstairs is too dark and it almost feels like a dungeon. The side room with the seating is relaxing with friends, but if there's more than 50 people in there it's like a sauna at Club Sport. The main floor is very wide spread, but my favorite part is the side bar directly to the right when you enter. I'd go again depending on who throws the party. |

Temple is always fun. There's always a range of music for everyone and it's fun to walk between the different rooms when you want a change of scene. I am never disappointed when I go to Temple. |

Temple has to be the best club in San Francisco. It reminds me of the Vegas Clubs because of the look, people, and music. |

I was at Temple recently for a fashion show and I was absolutely blown away by its freeing atmosphere. Everything around you is simplistic and beautiful, complemented by expertly crafted drinks and a wide range of international foods that melt away all your cares from the outside world. Those around me seemed to feel the same way, making it a wonderful evening with light hearted conversation and positive vibes! If you haven't gone already, I highly recommend spending an evening drinking in the ambience of Temple. |

Went to Temple on a Friday night to hear BT spin and I must say the venue is impressive. It is a very large open space with booths that line the main dance flloor, which gives the impression of being in the action but also having the option to observe. I liked that the restaurant portion looks down upon the main dance floor, again making one feel like they are apart of what's going on but still having the privacy ensured by the glass windows. The only thing that does confuse me are the catacombs below, which are a tad too dark. Additionally, because the space is so big, if it is not filled, I could see it giving off the impression that the place is not rocking, even if it is. The other downside is that the ticket prices to see some of these acts are a bit pricey, but it seems like mainly an event venue, not a club or lounge- it needs to be filled to capacity in order to have the full effect. That being said, I find it very cool and just think that you need to pick the acts that you go to see very carefully and you will have an amazing time at Temple! |

Awesome venue from the bartenders to security. They tend to play drum n bass downstairs and also hip-hop. Upstairs it’s more trance similar to 1015 layout. The sound is banging to make your heart skip beats. Overall an awesome venue. |

Temple is my new favorite spot in all of San Francisco! I was there for the grand opening (both nights) and it was simply amazing. The interior is beautifully and tastefully decorated. I have been to different parties hosted from House, Hip-Hip, Techno, a mix of all three and every time was a great experience. The bouncers are super nice (if you are nice to them) as well as the door staff and bartenders. The downstairs area has LOTS of seating, and it's where I go chill and hangout when I want to take a break from all the excitement. The white walls and cool lighting system provide the dream setting for nightlife photography (yay for me!). Check out Temple- there's a little something for everyone.

I signed up online for the guest list on a Thursday. I went with 2 girl friends. We attended on Saturday night. The guest list was supposed to be free before 11pm. The line wasn't long but we had to wait for 35 minutes and almost missed the 11pm cut off. Then the girl at the door informed us that we probably hadn't signed up in time and she would have to let us in for half-price. When she realized that we were about to leave, she let us in for free. The club has some great looking rooms but all 3 djs were playing similar music and NO hip-hop. Mostly dance. It's a waste of a beautiful space, in my opinion. Thank god we didn't pay! |

I cruised over on Saturday after San Francisco Fashion Week to check things out before the big opening in September and was blown away by how friendly the staff was. Everyone from the door to the bar was smiling and helpful without sacrificing any cool. My only complaint is that the patrons weren't quite as focused on dancing as I was, but I can't fault the space, music or drinks for that. |

I'd give it a five but it's not officially open yet and I really want the finished product.
I've been to several "soft openings" since March of 2006. This place just gets better and better each time I go. The sound system is amazing, but it gets super loud (if not too loud) in the Catacombs/basement area. The decor is also spactacular with actual antiques. The word "impressive" comes to mind.
I'm looking forward to all of the big promoters getting in there and attending some parties with some major headliners at Temple. So far the club has been showcasing several of the owners DJing at the parties......I think that is pretty lame. I haven't been impressed by any of them.
Oh Temple, open soon before I totally start to bum hard. |
