This is the worst club in San Francisco. I really hate to say it, but it needs to be said. Being frisked and patted down before going into a club should tell you A LOT about the place before going in. There is absolutely no diversity with the clientele (every night is Asian night). The are so many things wrong about this place, but I have no energy to even talk about this place ever again. The only reason I posted this is because I dont want anyone to waste their Friday/Saturday night.
The space can be better used as a gym or something. It gets a fat ZERO from me. |

I can't fault a club for being TOO crowded... can I? That's really my only negative. The music is great, I love the fact that the front bar is usually less crowded and there are SO many rooms. It looks so unassuming from the outside that it's overwhelming once you enter. I don't like the indoor smoking sections, I hate to feel like I'm being turned into bacon... But I've always had fun here. |

Suede really wasn't bad or great. It was good. I know my friends and I had a lot of fun, but the crowd that night wasn't the best. I think it had potential and the music was good that night! I don't have anything bad to say about the place itself though! |

Not my type of venue. There's only so much you can do to renovate a club into a spectacular sight...and that's not by painting the whole thing black and putting a few white pleather couches. |

Suede, as a venue, has gone through a few iterations throughout the years. In that time, they have struggled to find an identity. However, one thing thats always been persistent is that the layout of the venue is brilliant. With two floors and multiple rooms that reminds one of a huge house rather than a nightclub, it can be both an intimate experience or an all out club night. The bars, DJ booth, and "rest areas" (e.g. couches) are sensibly laid out so you won't have trouble dancing, getting a drink, or relaxing. The location is easy to find and there is a lot of street parking at night. In respects to their identity struggles, I have heard that its far more consistent over the last 6 months but its definitely a space you want to visit with the right production and/or promoter. So, if you and your friends hear about a great party there, do not miss the chance to go. |

Suede is not a great club at all simply because of the horrible design. When you enter you will find a bar that is relatively empty because it just acts as a gateway into the rest of the club. There are some tables in this section but it is really for people who want to be hermits for the entire night.
Once you get into the main room on the bottom floor there are some nicer tables and nice platforms for the dancers. This is still not a great design because the tables are cramped and the club is always packed. You move on upstairs where there are many rooms but it is always smelly and far too hot... you can barely breathe. The traffic from the first level to the second level, and from room to room on the second level is horrible. Overall this club just needs to be redone with less rooms, better ventilation, and a better bar. |
