I have to say I didn't expect much walking into the place but I can sort of see the appeal of Sip. It appears small but once you go in, you go in pretty deep and it's actually kind of fun (yes, that's a "naughty" description but its true!) Anyway, there are two bars, and a little upstairs area to sit down and chill. Overall, I would consider this a good Thursday-night-get-the-weekend-started-early kind of place. I'd go back. |

Came to Sip last night for a friend's event and to be honest, this is going to be a one time event. There is nothing actually bad about it- I am a little puzzled by the design- only when I went looking for a friend did I realize that it goes back pretty deep with a section for tables- I just thought there was a second bar. It's pretty dark inside and there seems to be ample seating, upside- I always dig the projections onto the walls, but the space seems to fill awkwardly and the light is not evenly distributed- too bright in some places, too dark in others. Additionally, the sound system doesn't produce a clear sound. I guess the main thing is it is a bar trying to be a club, and for me that just doesn't work. |

I am a little biased, as SIP is my baby, but I have to say if you're looking for a nice, comfortable lounge with an unpretentious atmosphere, friendly bartenders, no cover, no dresscode, a DJ that will play your requests, and just a place to enjoy a drink and maybe break out in dance, SIP is worth a visit. |
