This is a good place if you are into reggae music, it's really chill and has a good atmosphere. If you aren't into that type of music then I wouldn't recommend it to you. But I have always liked going there in my more casual attire, because it's not like a crazy club! |

This used to be my favorite spot when I was a bit younger and in College. They do throw some live shows, skateboarding video premieres are a huge favorite, and if you like old school hip hop they always seem to have some great ish in the mix, the only thing bad about this spot, is its super duper small, and ladies there is only one toilet to go around, so be prepared to wait for a bit on a busy night if you gots to go! I give it a three! |

Tuesday nights at Milk are really fun if you are into reggae. It's a smaller venue but if you are really a chill person, you'll get over it. It's not glamorous by any means. It's just a relaxed, no attitude scene where you can dance, have a PBR tallboy and enjoy a live act and/or DJ. It tends to get really hot in there because people really dance like they mean it, and it gets packed. But there is a huge fan in the corner that you can dance by and you'll be fine. Another thing that I noticed about this place is that it is pretty easy to get a drink in there. The bartenders are very attentive, which is always nice!
If you happen to be in the Haight:
Have some middle eastern food and smoke some hookah at Kan Zaman -AND/OR- have tapas and sangria at Cha Cha Cha. Follow that up with dancing at Milk. All three spots are right next to each other, and it's easy to hit all three in one night.

Pretty much, the only place to go on upper Haight at night. I've done numerous shows here. Good DJs. Drink specials. Small place. Sound system isnt that good for live shows. |
