I love this place! Exquisite ambiance with excellent drinks and conversation. This is one of my favorite places to go in the city.
The owners have that ALOHA spirit; not sure if they're from Hawaii, but they definitely have excellent hospitality. |

My favorite bar! Don't let the big bouncer outside deter you - he is a big teddy bear. Through the black curtains of the entryway, there is lounge seating on either side. Brick walls surround the narrow space. Name that movie that's being projected over the door. Take a seat at the bar and enjoy the friendly smiles and conversation of the staff. The scene is chill and the vibe is good.
Is that a Sam Flores painting on the wall? My favorite San Francisco artist and my favorite bar.
This is a great place to start your evening, meet friends, or enjoy happy hour. |

So, I had been hearing good things about this spot since it openend last year. Unfortunately my experience wasn't what i hoped it to be.
First, I'd recomend going on a Wednesday or Thursday for an early, after work cocktail.
I made the mistake of going on a Friday at 9:30. When we got there the place was pretty full and there was no where to sit or comfortably stand. There were areas along the wall with small sofa chairs and tables, where u could sit with a couple friends, but not on this night. Plus, people had rearranged the furniture and were sitting in the middle of the walkway, it was walkin through a maze.
Most of the people seemed as if they were regulars and had been there since after work or dinner.
I also felt that the bartenders knew all the customers and they were serving them first (guess thats Karma from all u tenders that serve my drunk face first)
However the music was good, they had video projections on the wall, (they were showin old school Michael Jackson, yes!) and the crowd was very diverse! From lawyers in suits to the artists that provided the artwork on the walls. I'd give it another chance, but like I said it would have to be during the week. |

Hands down, best place in the city with the best people you will ever encounter. No cover, good times are free. |
