I agree with other reviewers that Mist is nothing special. Been there, done that. The white interior... kind of over it at this point. The stairwell being moved is a much needed improvement. I went to the official opening with 944 and DJ Colette and the crowd was good, very aesthetically pleasing, from a photographer's point of view. There are some great parties planned here, so I'll focus more on the clientèle rather than the physical structure itself. |

For a new club Mist has all the characteristics of the "same-old-same-old". Everything I hated about Loft 11 (previous name) was still the case when I attended the grand opening: So-so bartenders and security, weird layout, and no personality. Oh, and the worst part is the leaky pipes on the ceiling that dripped water onto the dance floor. Horrible! |

went to Mist's sneak preview party Donovan hosted.....overall the former Loft 11 definitely needed making over!!!! they wisely moved the stairs to the rear of the club to give more space to the main room, the all white interior's nice but to be honest that's been done already. i like the kryo machines which comes handy when it gets hot while dancing. i also like the glass see thru dance floor which they kept from the old club as well
as the VIP room......the bar service was ok then again it was a soft opening id go back if they kept the clientele consistently good.

I went to the grand opening of Mist this past weekend.... Although the interior of the place is nice, the space is a little small for the amount of people that can fit in there. Also while sitting at a table on the lower level, there is not enough room for you to enjoy your party simply because it is to close to the bar traffic. Lastly, the upper level needs to get a serious revamp of its central AC system! It was way too hot to enjoy yourself on the upper floor, thus forcing you to return down to the lower level and dance with the masses.
I am sure on not such a cramped night Mist could be a good venue, however during the opening I was not as imprssed as some people |

Went to Mist for the Industry Sneak Peak and I have to say that I am quite impressed. The all white interior is fantastic on the first floor, great space for dancing, large enough bar, but it is the second floor that really gets me. First, I love that there is a real VIP area, enclosed in glass with its own DJ booth and really sweet tables. The normal VIP area is just as fantastic, and I love the square cut out with the white roping for image projections (which is becoming one of the hottest ideas in interior design lately). 2 problems- the mist machine is the loudest thing ever (I am sure it will get worked out by the actual opening) and the glass flooring on the second floor makes me never want to cross it when I am wearing a dress- I kept hoping it was treated glass, but sadly realized not when I went downstairs to dance. On the whole, I really visually enjoyed it and the sound system sounds great- but what will determine if I become a regular will be the crowd- if the upscale crowd that frequents the likes of Harlot or Ambassador (on a week night) then I am in! |
