EH. Used to be cool when I was underage lol! BELO is a venue to many of the biggest DJs in the world (house, deep dish, etc). However, they spin downstairs.. where you dont get service and it gets so hot and smelly you want to leave anyways, unless you are a drunk mess. The guys at the door are assholes, although the security inside is chill. BELO also distinguishes itself as an "after hours cllub"-open until 4am, however, if they are not meeting quota in customers, they shut it down early- which is usually all the time. BUT, the interior design is superbly edgy and I loooove the bright and bold colors and shapes and designs they used to furnish the place. The VIP rooms are chill.. They just need to do something about the air conditioning I think..yikes |

It's a great place to go when a big name DJ is in town like Kaskade, Mark Farina or Deep Dish. But it gets packed. Too packed at times. Whatever you do don't get on stage to dance. A friend of mine got the boot when she was pulled on stage. |

Belo is by far one of the nicest lounges to be in San Diego's nightlife! My friends and I love to go to a classy places with nice music! |

Belo is by far one of my favorite clubs in San Diego. I work for a club by the same owner, and Belo is my favorite of his many clubs/bars in downtown San Diego and Long Beach. They have the best Gogo dancers and DJs (not to mention the fact that I'm close friends with many of them) not to mention the special events, concerts, fundraisers, and world-famous DJ sets that go on inside this 3-room 70's-inspired venue. If you're getting VIP bottle service, I recommend the white room, or anything in the house room... We had my boyfriend's bday party in the white room at Belo when Gabriel & Dresden were performing, it was a blast. I've also seen Deep Dish, Paul Oakenfold, Micky Avalon, and De La Soul at Belo. |

At this moment, Belo is still my favorite club in SD. Aesthetically speaking, it doesn't have anything that the other big clubs have, but it has the crowd I want to party with. Don't get me wrong, Belo is beautiful, but the crowd is the deal breaker. Looking to avoid the "LA style" money flashing that always ensues at clubs? Get on down to Belo. Less older men throwing money at hot young girls (less, not none, lol), and great DJs! Tip: Locals know to bring cash because you there is a $5 cash bar that exists to sell off promo alcohols. $5 Ultimat vodka tonic anyone? $5 Corralejo shots? Thats what I thought... |
