I absolutely loved this place! I could not get a reservation so I had to go to the "library". No loss at all! I had one of the best martinis there! Well worth the price!! |

I think it's lovely, don't get me wrong, but I wonder how long the whole mystique will last? When I got over how affected the door girl and server were, I enjoyed myself and the drinks are flawless. It is definitely a fun place to try new things (the old guy next to me asked for a mango lassie, though--yeah, THAT'S NOT ON THE MENU).
The bartender/co-owner has done a heartfelt job with the space and the offerings, I just hope the pretention of the rest of the staff and the reservation thing doesn't turn too many people off. |

Despite the fact it's in the Tenderloin...classic Speak Easy! I recommend this place before going out to dinner with group of friends or just to lounge. I love this place! |

You've heard it before, "Don't judge a book by its cover". The outer text may look dull, dog-eared, and mislabeled, but within lies the retelling of a vibrant era's history full of rich imagery and ghostly nostalgia. Though red hot Jazz, fiery brick walls, and premium (not to mention pricey) Bourbon will immediately bring warmth to your soul, time manages to stand frozen allowing you to just "be". Be imaginative, social, and indifferent to the realities of the modern day world....and you'll have to. This bar isn't for someone in a rush to pound a drink in the same way you wouldn't visit a library to skim tabloid covers. If you're an escapist and consider yourself intrigued by things "off the beaten path", wipe the dust off its cover.....and believe me, it's dusty....so is the section of San Francisco it's in. One last thing, make sure you come prepared. It takes a password to crack this book open. Or should I more appropriately say, bookshelf? ;) |

The best preparty OR romantic spot ive been to.
the best drinks in the world! An open challenge to any bartender in the world! The list of drinks at B&B is extensive and every drink I've ordered has been made with perfection
The library at the end gives you a private feeling with a bar inside.
I recommend everyone to go to B&B atleast once in their life |

I went here last night on a date and it's definitely a place to take your lady. The ambience is quite nice and the drinks are amazing. I enjoyed watching the bartenders use the freshest ingredients to assemble some delicious cocktails.
Highly recommended by someone who has been to a lot of SF's finest bars. |

B&B is the best place in SF to have a romantic time together...Its located @ the intersection of Jones & O'Farrell and once you ring the doorbell you're asked for a password..
The drinks are off the hook (EVERY SINGLE ONE) is very well made!!
The library is awesome! |

Bourbon and Branch is awesome. Hidden but easy enough to find b/c of smokers outside. Its "Library" is just one room, but perfect for a group and a cocktail before a night out. The actual place itself is great if you want to chill, have strong drinks, and good convo. Call ahead and get a reservation---Places like this make me happy I live in SF, unique, fun, classy, and very San Francisco. *Note* It is in the loin--be careful. |

I really liked this place but I suggest taking a cab.The short walk from the nearby parking garage isn't exactly pleasant if you're a girl. But even when the outside is less to be desired, this unmask establishment is quite a gem in the inside. The best place to enjoy a drink here is in the library. Choose a signature drink from the bar's menu. All the mixers are homemade and fresh, it really does make a difference. Everything is good here but I suggest the Revolver. This speakeasy is one of San Francisco's best kept secret. |

From the unmarked door to the hidden library room this is a true speakeasy, not just hearkening back to a time past but transplanting you right to it as soon as you say the password. Relax with your sweetheart or scheme with your Boss and enjoy perhaps the very best mixed drinks in the city. Watching the bartenders work is worth the price alone. The very definition of a hidden gem. |

Bourbon and Branch is great, hip. The bartenders are very experienced, use fresh ingredients instead of mixers, knowlegable about any type of drink with a bit of history about where and when the drink started. Atmoshpere is good, nice mix of people. the back bar is nice as well. I went about 2 weeks after it opened and a few times after that. The waitreses are nice as well.Try a Negroni, the selection of Bourbons of course, and I think they have Aperol which is a rarity to find in the US, Usually in Europe especially Italy. I will go back. It's a great experience for the type of place it is. |

Fantastic lounge scene. The private booth area is the place you want to be rather than the "Library." The decor is rich and sexy. The libations are amazing and what a selection. The pace is slow and easy. What a swanky joint! |
