Even though they list as a House music, this place has some of hte best hiphop DJ'ing that I've seen in San Fran Clubs. The club is small but still has everything you need. Parking is extremely hard to find in this area. You'll find a large number of asian people here on the weekends. 4/27/2008 2:01:14 PM

Was at Boss for Nate's party for Baron Davis, and truthfully, it sorta reminds me of a high end strip club. While the interior is super sleek, the visual is deceptive due to the mirror-lined walls, and the entrance and foyer are a little clumsy in design and the location of the initial bar perplexes me. But there is a lot of open space, the booth area look comfortable, and the design of the VIP booths is really inviting. The mirrors really do make it look a lot bigger than it is, which caused a little confusion, but I do like that the dance floor is very central and raised. Additionally, it took the girl at the door 15 minutes to get 4 people through, which comes off as not having the kinks worked out. On the whole, something tells me that I won't be back unless its for a planned party, the vibe was just off. 2/14/2008 10:25:18 AM

It's been a while since I've been here, and maybe I'd like it more if i was more into dance or house music. The lay out is nice and the bartenders were nice, so that's a definite plus. This isn't a place that I'd go to to dance, but have a party. 12/11/2007 4:34:38 PM

Ooof.... I only went here due to the fact that a co-worker was having her birthday party there. As I have read the reviews on this place have been from at least a year ago. And let me tell you, things have definately changed. Ambiance is "ok". But the music (Hip Hop) was on the crummy side. At 1:00 they flipped it and started playing Salsa for Gods sake! Don't get me wrong I like Salsa but it seemed to come from left field. The patrons were to say the least "Scary". Ladies wearing ill fitted outfits and one gentleman wearing a black pin stripe suit with white shoes! I think that says it all. If it weren't for my friend I would have made a u-turn and bolted. Sorry this definately does not have my vote. 10/24/2007 9:53:37 AM

I sorta have mixed feelings about this place. It's really nice inside and the couches are comfy. It's one of the few clubs that mixes in slow songs at times, which sorta makes it feel like a high school dance. Otherwise, this place actually used to be my favorite club, but they've changed it up a lot and I wish they made the dance floor bigger. But they mix good tracks and the bartenders are pretty nice and their fruit platters are yummy =] The last time I was here though, I saw people karaoking in the back room. Haha, that was kinda weird to see in a club =P 3/23/2007 11:14:21 AM

I went to BOSS for their premier of Decadence. BOSS has been put together very well. The dance floor is central and is surrounded by booths. If you decide to get a bottle (recommended) you aren't isolated in some corner away from the rest of the party goers (unless of course you want to be ... there are separate private rooms as well ), instead you are well within range of the dance floor. The sound system was powerful and crisp. The high industrial ceilings of the place seemed to aid in the amplification of the thumping base tones. The treatment we received at BOSS was top-tier. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. My only complaints ... 1) The crowd can be a little on the 'random' side 2) The interior aesthetics feel 'cold' and a little lifeless.

All in all, Boss is a cool spot worth checking out (especially for special events)

Ive been to Boss once so far, and would definately go again. The service was awsome, wish I could remember her name! Bottle service is a smart way to go, and I also recommend the fruit platter!!yum! Very prompt and attentive staff, as well as courteous bouncers/doormen. The inside is planned well, with booths and seating around the dancefloor, or for more private parties there is also rooms along the back. Overall it was a good experience!! 11/1/2006 8:25:26 PM
