The food here is decent, but extremely overpriced. However, this place compensates by its location; inside the ferry building which is a great place for a date, as well as to relax. I would say Slanted Door would be an occasional treat as long as you don't make a habit of it. |

This place is on my "last meals ever" list, mainly for the Niman Ranch Shaking Beef and their yellowtail dish, but man! this place is l-o-u-d. Not the best date place, unless you are: 1. trying to impress your date, but not hear them, or 2. trying to cozy up next to them. The main reason for the loudness is the tall ceilings, which create awesome, sweeping views of the bay -- but makes the entire place sound like a high school cafeteria. Not even the soothing sounds of Portishead that usually waft out the speakers are usually drowned out. Other than that, the wine lists are impeccable, the tea is wonderful, all dishes are perfect. The glass noodles are great as well, and don't skip out on the vegetable dishes, either. |

I love how the wine goes so well with the dish, people are really friendly but it has a crazy crowd! It's too popular :P |

amazing cellophane noodles with dungeness crab! it's a zoo to get a seat in the bar so you'd better hope your date is thin enough to share a stool ;-P |

Slanted door is definitely the nicest vietnamese restaurant I have been to. The place is at the ferry building so expect fantastic views. The food is great! Check it out. |

Amazing Fusion!! I love the food here!! The chefs do a great job--I have been happy with every dish! Great beer selection as well. For me the downfall would be the new location makes it practically impossible to just show up--aka call ahead and make reservations. With that said, the location is perfect to take out of town guests-- it allows you to play tour guide after you eat (walk the piers). It is $$ so be prepared to drop some coin. |

Without a doubt the most upscale Vietnamese restaurant that I've ever been to (and the only one where you need reservations for brunch!) The food is good, but I've had better at the more authentic places for half the price. The nicest surprise about Slanted Door is its amazingly diverse world beer selection. This alone will keep me coming back for more. Everyone should have Sunday brunch here at least once. |
