If you're not too hungover for it, Sunday brunch here is super fun. The food is well priced, the staff is great, mimosas are strong and sweet, and the clientele (comprised of mostly gay men and hot women) make you want to keep partying. Although the music can be a bit loud (again, don't come here if you're too hungover), even the song choices are great. I can't remember the last I wanted to dance while having breakfast. |

First off, I've only been there on Sundays for brunch, so my review can only cover that.
I'm giving Lime a 4 today even though it really only deserves a 3.5:
Lime gets a 5/5 for atmosphere. It's fun to be there. They have a great DJ that plays good beats. Some of it may drift into the queer, but you're basically in the castro so that's to be expected. As far as I can tell, most of the guys who go there are gay and most of the ladies that go there are straight. That can be a good or bad thing depending on what you're into. But all in all, the energy is really good. You'll often times hear people singing to the music and getting up tot dance. Add bottomless mimosas for $7 and you can't go wrong.
Limes only downfall is their food. I give it a 2/5. In order to get the bottomless mimosas you have to buy an entree. All of the egg dishes I've had have been pretty weird. I'm a huge fan of eggs benedict, but lime's version of their eggs came out runny beyond belief. It was like they didn't even cook the eggs. The huevos rancheros weren't much better either: very bland. Even the Frittata was dry and rubbery. However, the chocolate chip pancakes are good so I'd suggest getting them.
All in all, I do like lime, just be wary of their food. |

oh and the restrooms are something to check out if you are not well-acquainted with the neighborhood. |

I was amazed the whole time I was eating dinner here because of the lighting and live deejay spinning great music. The restaurant has the feel of a hip lounge. I love their concept of American food tapas style. Mini burgers, lettuce wraps, skewers... I think there are only one or two vegetarian options on their dinner menu though. Also, the desserts are presented delectably well. Cheesecake pops, mini cupcakes and something with rum and bananas. Great place to socialize over food and drinks. This is a good, casual place to get to know someone or introduce a new someone to your posse. The food is pretty good and so are the drinks. I didn't enjoy brunch here as much as I did dinner, but can't wait to give it a second chance. Of course, who can beat bottomless mimosas for only $6?! You can just sit at the bar, drink all afternoon then stumble over to Solstice next door and buy $1300 "F*** You" chrome heart sunglasses. :-D
I am curious to know why the place is called LIME if the lighting and interior is entirely PINK.

This place is soooooo cute! I haven't eaten here, but it's definitely on my list of things to do. I did come in for unlimited mimosas (Sunday brunch). The staff was soooo nice and the atmosphere was friendly. I will definitely go back! |

YAY FOR SUNDAY AFTERNOON MIMOSAS!! I had previously eaten brunch elsewhere and had no idea that Lime offered a brunch as well. We just went for drinks but the place was super cute, fun and hip. The people were friendly as ever and I'm definitely coming back for the full Sunday brunch experience! |

All I can say is that Sunday Brunch at Lime is a beautiful way to start a Sunday Funday. If you are on a mission of utter destruction and drunkeness....Lime is your place. The food, amazing, the portions are large and reasonably priced, and $6 will get you unlimited refills on Mimosas. |

Gotta love Lime . . . haven't been to the brunch yet, but I hear its out of this world with the endless mimosas.
If you're looking for a good, quick, casual, anything goes atmosphere for a bite to eat in the Castro, this is the spot. Very, very Castro-esque. From the lighting and the tiny TV's at the bar, the modernist Meatpacking district ala 1999 setting. . . this is an easy place to eat late, and the food is well done.
The drink list is very fruity and delicious, and the small bites are a bargain and absolutely tasty. You really can't go wrong. I suggest the Caeser Salad and of course the grilled cheese. |
