3.5~ Came for a Persian New Year party on Friday (no really) and I have to say it is a really wonderful event space. Once the tables are cleared there is a really great space to dance, good sized bar, and the booths look really comfortable. The view is also pleasant and there is space to get away and talk. Only problem, $25 minimum on cards (most of the upscale clubs only ask for $10-15, which is manageable). Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed myself and would recommend it as an events site. |

Having the chance to try a good portion of the menu at Butterfly, I was impressed by the overall creativeness of the dishes. Fusion has become the "in" thing of San Francisco over the years, but Rob Lam really does it in a genuine way. The duck confit spring rolls and the pumpkin risotto that comes with the five spice short rib really stand out as favorites. In addition to the affordable food, Butterfly has a full wall of windows facing the water. |

Butterfly is a beautiful venue located right on the Bay in San Francisco. Its extremely well located and parking is not a problem. Definitely try dinner during a beautiful evening as this rare view of the Bay at night is worth the time in itself. I started at the bar with my party and was treated to some of the smoothest martinis I've had in some time. Dinner was good overall but as it wasn't an intimate setting (big group) and not a la carte, I didn't have a chance to create my own perfect choices. However, the service and food was up to par and at least at anyone's reasonable expectations. I recommend just bringing a dinner date so you can truly take in the ambience. |
