the food is average, but its a good idea to grab a bite and then stick around for the party afterwards. Very nice looking place. Too bad about the reviewer with the food that tasted/looked burnt :-( |

Circa was a great spot-the ambiance was upscale and the decor was beautiful. Service was a bit too slow for me, but drinks and food were delicious, so I'd definitley go back there. And the minimal menu is fantastic-just enough choice to cater to all tastes but not too much to be overwhelming;) |

I entertained some friends visiting San Francisco for the first time this past weekend. After a nite of partying we woke up at the crack of noon and ventured over to Circa for Sunday Brunch. Not only was there not a45 minute wait like every other restaurant on Chestnut, but we were seated at the best table in the main bar area. I highly recommend getting the eggs benedict sampler. I ate the mexi (chorizo) and nova (smoke salmon) eggs benedict. Both were awsome. Others at my table enjoyed the likes of things such as thefreshest and most asthetically looking fruit plate I've ever layed eyes on, a some what boring grilled cheese served with a tomato bisque, and a build your own scramble and ridiculously good french fries. Not to mention all you can drink mimosas and bloody mary's for only $9 a pop. But the best part of the whole brunch was the chef was none other than Eric from TLC's television show "Top Chef". Not only was dude cooking the food but dude was coming out to serve and interact with his anxious dining room. Sweet! |

I had been hearing great things about this place for awhile, and had a fantastic dinner when I went to go check it out this past weekend. My friend and I went for dine about town so we tried Eric's prix fixe menu and were really impressed. Everything was prepared perfectly, and the flavors all complimented each other well. I am always a little skeptical of restaurants that don't put salt and pepper on the table as usually that indicates a level of overconfidence that I have found to more often than not fall short. Circa however justified their audacity as everything was seasoned perfectly. A must if you are in the Marina! |

Circa is fantastic for late night dinners. Erik is truly a talented chef and enjoying his food goes hand in hand with the beautiful libations and the people who make thier way in in the late hours. The patrons of this establishment are usually well put together and well-mannered. It can get pretty packed, however, where pushing and shoving is the norm in any crowded bar, this is something I never really encountered there. |

Great service and atmosphere. A very sexy place to have dinner or drinks. My favorites are the tomato soup with grilled cheese mini sandwiches and the Sliders!
Great drinks as well. |

Circa...A great place for a four star snack...right before the restaurant turns into a club! It's perfect if go later (9ish) so you don't have to wait too long before the crowd starts to show up. |

2.5- Had a late dinner at Circa on Friday night and it was a comedy of errors. While the mac and cheese, tacos, and my raspberry margarita were stellar, everything else we ordered had a slight burned taste to it- the pita bread, the sliders, and the steak. I am not sure if it is just a matter of the grill, but everything had too strong a taste of charred or tasteless (hummus). Additionally, the service was a little lacking, we were stuck in an extremely small booth, and the hostess could not seem to find something NOT stuck in the corner. Additionally, the mojito my friend ordered was dubbed the worst mojito she'd ever had. My two companions were less than pleased and we left as soon as I couldn't eat any more of the steak. The worst part was that I had been looking very forward to eating here. |

I love going to Circa on Friday nites for a late dinner and staying there for the party. I go here at least twice a month--I always seem to be in the mood for it. Brilliant decor, stellar menu, ambient atmosphere-and the lobster mac and cheese is to die for. |

We went with two of most pickiest people when it comes to food (not to mention they are picky in completely different ways!), however Circa had something for everyone. The plates are small, however it was perfect to share among the table and to get to try different dishes. Excellent food, great atmosphere, fun and busy bar around 10 pm with a live dj. |

I really love Circa for several reasons.
1) Location. it's on my street
2) Food. Circa does casual food and it does it well.
3) Ambience. Despite the simple food, the decor is quite upscale. It's a classy, cozy destination, with a great setup for crowd flow and easy mingling.
4) Cocktails. Great drink list. Reasonable prices |

One of the few places in the Marina I frequent regularly. Great food for the price, my favorite is the rack of lamb. The steak is good, but portion could be a bit bigger. Circa gets very lively once the bar crowd starts to move in if you have a late dinner. Overall, chill, great comfort/cali cuisine mix, nice stiff drinks at the bar. Less frat like crowd than other Marina bars. |

Circa finally opened their doors for a Sunday Brunch. I went yesterday for the first time, and it was AMAZING! I was starving and moody..and requested some form of carb ASAP. Cornbread and butter is on the house. I followed that with a blueberry coffecake which was delicious. Then I had a egg and cheddar cheese scramble and they put potatoes w/ it too, it was soooo yummy. The best thing though was their hash browns, it was crispy on the outside and oh so tasty on the inside. It was a great brunch...great menu too. A little something for everyone. I cannot wait to go back!
